EMPIRE 2006 WINTERFEST PROGRAM FRIDAY: pool tournament: 6:30 -7:20 sign up (all Welcome) 7:30 games begin $5.00 per person winner takes 1/2 proceeds to Firefighters Association bon fire, ice scating, refreshments: 7 pm South Bar Lake SATURDAY: Activities at the townhall all day long: warmth and conversation 10am ashtanga yoga class 12 noon on: history of winterfest 12 noon - laugh for no reason 12 - 4pm Picnic, bake sale & returnable bottles/ cans fundraiser : Glen Lake Girls Softball teams! ALL day: Ice /Snow Sculpture Contest register your creation at Deerings SNOW SHOE HIKE: 1pm Sleeping Bear Dunes Visitor Center 1-2pm Childrens outdoor games : South Bar Lake - dress warm! 1pm Hot coffee served at South Bar Lake Gazebo - free! 2 pm POLAR BEAR DIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2pm sharp, South Bar Lake, Don't be late for this it doesn't last long! 1st ever Winterfest Parade from South bar to Front Street: Theme Empire Winter Olympics Curling: South Bar Lake immediately following the "DIP" Scavenger Hunt- Starts at Townhall - after the parade Table Tennis Games Truffle Making Class $25.00 Reserve by Feb 8 326-3030 6 pm - 10pm Community Pot-Luck dinner and games - Townhall 8pm to Midnight Music Fundraiser Empire Firefighters - At the Village Inn Mr. Music DJ SUNDAY Pancake Breakfast - Masonic Temple 8am -1pm 1pm Snowshoe Hike- Sleeping Bear Dunes Visitor Center
